Backyard visitors

Checked the trail cam this week and caught a couple regulars making their way through the woods. A big black bear showed up first, cruising through right before sunrise. Looked healthy and on a mission, probably just shaking off the winter like the rest of us.

Later that day, two deer wandered through, picking at the fresh growth and moving slow. It’s always cool to see who’s out there when no one’s watching.

Spring in northern Vermont doesn’t mess around. One week it’s mud and gray skies, the next everything’s popping. Birds are back, brooks are running high, and the woods feel alive again.

Little reminders like this are why I love having the trail cam out there. Never know what you’re gonna catch, but it always makes you stop and appreciate where you are.
